In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets of all temperaments. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for dogs and cats of various breeds. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and provide education on proper care. Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming. Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as necessary. Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as requested by clients. Assist in maintaining inventory of grooming supplies and equipment. Requirements Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as kennel work, veterinary technician roles, or animal care is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets during grooming. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Experience with dog training or behavior is a plus. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and well-being.
