Full Job Description Position Summary:

Hire Talent Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced cosmetic and skincare contract manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all production lines meet the highest quality standards and client specifications, supporting both routine production and new product trials.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations & Line Oversight Approve line clearance each morning to ensure readiness for production (under 10 minutes). Conduct hourly line inspections, including:

• Torque tests
• Weight checks
• Vacuum and breakpoint tests
• Finished goods pallet inspections
• Inspect and verify components and bulk before line setup.
• Monitor bulk odor, color, and appearance hourly.

Sampling & Documentation Collect samples for microbiological testing, retains, and client-specific requests. Read and compare work instructions with client-provided Formulas & Approvals (F&A). Take SPG (Specific Gravity) from batches to determine final weight range. Create and verify lot codes daily for multiple clients. Verify shipper labels both physically and in the red zone. Create production standards for first runs and support line trials. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure temperature control during remelting of fresh bulk for stick products. Collaborate with clients on-site and support operators to maintain line performance. Stay familiar with all production lines, which rotate weekly. Work with Customer Service Managers (CSMs) to resolve or update work orders. Maintain and update visual standards, range boards, and playbooks. Report any damaged or incorrect bulk/components via email. Create new inspections as needed and add characteristics for new products in the red zone. Reporting & Communication Prepare and send PowerPoint presentations summarizing each line trial. Promote a team-oriented approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a science-related field preferred). 1-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in cosmetics, skincare, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and client specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel). Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Laboratory and production floor settings. Requires standing for extended periods and handling of cosmetic raw materials. Use of PPE (e.g., gloves, lab coats, masks) required in designated areas.
