As our funeral home continues to thrive, we are seeking a Funeral Attendant and Transport Technician who will support and preserve our standards of excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform transfers of deceased from place of death to the funeral home with team members in accordance with all state, local, and company policies and procedures Work on-call, in rotation with other team members Assist with appropriate care for deceased as needed Complete assigned duties for funeral services, including instructing vehicles in parking lot, parking vehicles, door attendant, book attendant, and other duties as assigned Ensure any paperwork is completed in full, neatly and accurately

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Availability to be on-call overnight and assist in funerals (on rotation, as needed) Maintain a professional appearance and wear appropriate attire per company policies Interact courteously, professionally, and respectfully with the families of the deceased

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Good physical condition capable of lifting, pushing and pulling Prolonged periods of standing may be required Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, carrying, and lifting minimum of 50 pounds

JOB TYPE

Independent Contractor (15-20 Hours Weekly plus On-Call Schedule) Additional hours optionally available during regular business hours to assist with transportation duties as needed On call can average of 2 weeknights per week and 2-3 weekend nights per month Funeral schedule can include hours during weekdays, weekends and weeknights
