The Technician position provides for animal health under direction of the Shelter Veterinarian, including, but not limited to, vaccinations, medications, quarantine and isolation protocols, responds to and addresses reports of illness in the shelter population, administers animal care and treatment, performs intake exams of newly received animals, participates in medical rounds to monitor the health of the animal population and facilitates the operation of the spay/neuter and surgery services. The Assistant role helps the Veterinarian and Veterinary Technician in a variety of animal health care duties, including general cleaning and medications, surgery, examination, and treatment of shelter, foster, owned and TNR animals. Full or Part Time position possible. Hourly commensurate with experience.
