Role:
We’re looking for a dependable and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our evening team . You’ll be the warm, welcoming face clients see when their pet needs care—whether it’s a routine visit or an emergency situation. This role is essential to ensuring smooth communication, efficient scheduling, and compassionate client service during our critical after-hours shifts. Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and gather detailed medical history Check in emergency and urgent care cases with compassion and efficiency Communicate clearly with veterinarians and technicians about incoming patients Process invoices and payments accurately Handle prescription and food requests per doctor instructions Maintain accurate electronic medical records Contribute to a clean, calm, and well-organized front desk Support a collaborative, team-based hospital culture
Note:
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as hospital needs evolve. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary or medical receptionist role is a plus Comfortable working evening hours and supporting emergency care teams Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask Proficiency with computer systems and veterinary software (or willingness to learn) Calm under pressure and always kind—to pets and people Passionate about animals and their well-being Benefits Employee discounts Flexible schedules 401K with company match Training and Career development
