owned AAHA hospital located in the quaint village of Fairport, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist our veterinarians and support staff in providing high-quality medical care to all of our patients which include not only dogs and cats but pocket pets, birds, reptiles and all sorts of other exotic pets. This role involves working closely with all staff members, performing various clinical tasks, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our clients. We are an efficient, friendly team thriving on low drama. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. Client education Answering phones, setting up prescriptions, assisting with client needs. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia or illness. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations or procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including kennel areas. Working efficiently and fitting in with our great team Requirements Veterinary Technician License – or License eligible Knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology is essential. Experience in laboratory work is a plus. Ability to handle dogs and cats safely and effectively. Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and staff. Previous experience in veterinary hospitals or working in a kennel environment is advantageous. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
