In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting in various medical procedures, performing laboratory tests, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners. Your passion for animal care and your technical skills will be crucial in delivering high-quality veterinary services. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed. Restrain animals safely and effectively for examinations and treatments. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work, cytology and urinalysis. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care. Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and training techniques. Monitor animal health during recovery from anesthesia or treatment. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy. Proficient in animal handling techniques and animal physiology. Experience with animal catheterization and restraint methods. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
