About this Role The Neurology Account Manager will drive patientidentification and market development for Friedreichs ataxia (FA)by creating territory, account, and customer strategies to achievearea sales and profit targets for their territory. The idealcandidate will effectively identify, develop, and maintainrelationships with physicians and treatment offices to properlyeducate on FA and help remove barriers to facilitate healthcareprovider decisions. Furthermore, they will effectively developcollaborative relationships and communicate information across manydifferent internal/external stakeholders to create alignment ondecisions and help drive appropriate sales. What You’ll Do Drivepatient identification and market development for FA by buildingand executing against a territory strategy and HCP specific plans.

Continuously assesses sales opportunities within markets andaccounts to maintain and grow their business. Able to effectivelyprioritize time, activities, and resources to optimize patientidentification. Can educate and promote Biogen services. Builds andmaintains relationships with physicians by maximizing their timethrough pre-call planning, leveraging insights to tailor a callplan, and conducts post call analysis to continually refine andenhance their approach. Proactively builds effective workingrelationships with internal/external stakeholders; can driveagreement/decisions from multiple stakeholders; can read people’semotions and flex communication style. Can adjust their approachbased on different stakeholder needs, concerns, or audience memberto drive alignment and meet their work goals. Collaborate withstakeholders across commercial, compliance, and patient carecenters to ensure access at site of care and that logistics are inplace to administer. Collaborate with key offices and physicians tobuild individual plans on how to approach their customers, achievesales goals, and maintain relationships in order to maximize salesresults. Collaborate with key offices and physicians to drivepatient identification through market development and physicianeducation; post launch be able to develop a territory strategy toretain customers. Executes programs, in-services, andlunch-and-learns for their territory. Determines suitable travelschedule and call plan on a daily/weekly basis to ensure adequatecoverage for all key customers. Who You Are You are a highlymotivated, engaging and team-oriented individual with a passion forproblem solving and supporting clinicians and patients. You havethe ability to organize impactful business meetings with the intentto develop and execute our strategy. Qualifications 5 years ofprogressive business experience in the healthcare or biotechindustry, inclusive of 3 years of field-based experience in accountmanagement, sales, and/or field reimbursement. Rare diseaseexperience is preferred A successful track record in clinicaleducation or in pharmaceutical sales/management of productsrequired. Experience in HUB services or Specialty Pharmacyfulfillment is a positive. Experienced pharmaceutical professionalwith a comprehensive understanding of field / patientreimbursement, charitable funding, non-profit organizations Must becomfortable spending 60% of time traveling; some overnight travelrequired Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates musthave a valid driver’s license to be considered Candidate mustreside in territory

Education:

Bachelors Degree/ Advanced Degreepreferred Additional Information All your information will be keptconfidential according to EEO guidelines. The base compensationrange for this role is $148,800 – $215,800. Base salary isdetermined by a combination of factors including, but not limitedto, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, andlocation of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible forparticipation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
