The Role Are you passionate about making a difference in the non-profit sector? This is a unique opportunity to join Fidelity’s Tax-Exempt Market as a Vice President, Managing Director, where you’ll collaborate with Higher Education, Healthcare, and other mission-driven organizations to enhance the value of their retirement programs and drive client satisfaction. This role is ideal for a strategic, consultative leader who thrives in a remote environment and is energized by building long-term relationships with institutional clients. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience 5+ years of direct experience managing institutional client relationships Active FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses (required at time of hire) Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%, primarily within the Mountain West and Western U.S.
Proven skills in:
Relationship management and consultative selling, Conflict resolution and complex problem solving and Executive-level communication (written and verbal) Ability to work independently from a home office or Fidelity regional site Strong internal collaboration skills to build and maintain a network across Fidelity Strategic thinking with a long-term view of client needs and business trends Experience influencing senior decision-makers and navigating complex client environments Lead a book of 10-15 large institutional clients, serving as the primary relationship manager Develop and execute a comprehensive relationship strategy, including annual business planning and service reviews Drive client satisfaction and loyalty, measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Fidelity’s footprint through cross-selling: Personalized Planning & Advice, Health Savings Accounts, Self-Directed Brokerage and Health & Welfare and Benefits Consulting Educate and influence consultants in multi-vendor environments to position Fidelity for consolidation Lead a cross-functional internal team to deliver exceptional service and resolve complex client issues

The Team You’ll be part of Fidelity’s Tax-Exempt Relationship Management team, which delivers retirement plan services to non-profit organizations. Our mission is to protect the Fidelity brand, retain clients, and grow revenue. You’ll work closely with C-suite executives, key decision-makers, and internal partners to deliver strategic value and ensure long-term success. The base salary range for this position is $112,000
- 255,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
