Job Description
The client’s agency, named Harrisburg Magazine “Simply the Best” & Central Penn Business Journal Top Insurance agency and agents 2018, 2019, and 2024. We are looking for fantastic additions to our team: a Personal Lines Account Manager and a Commercial Lines Account Manager! The ideal candidate will communicate with clients, producers, and insurance companies via email, telephone, and/or in person to provide the best customer service. We pride ourselves on our customer-first attitude, technical knowledge, and integrity, and the right candidate will embody all three traits.
Essential Functions:
Reviews applications for insurance coverage and other information to determine if the application is acceptable for the program(s) available. Evaluates the experience of a risk against the class of business under review. Prepares quotations for producers and answers from them, as well as policyholders or prospects. Review policies for renewal consideration. Utilizes knowledge of automated systems to develop information for new and renewal policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
May be required to attend seminars for education/training as needed to ensure job skills meet the changes in technical and business demands. Present a professional and business appearance. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to three years’ experience and/or training in the insurance industry; or equivalent combination of education and insurance experience. Good familiarity with computers. Strong oral and written communications. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills. Strong technical knowledge Strong collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted carrier(s) underwriting. • Good Innovation (judgment/decision-making) skills. It is preferred that the applicant holds a PA Property and Casualty Producer license
