Position Overview:

The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator plays a central role in shaping and amplifying the voice, vision, and message of Impact Church across digital and traditional channels. This position combines strategy, storytelling, and creative execution—ensuring our content reflects our heart for people and excellence in ministry. You’ll manage social media, oversee content and campaign development, coordinate with ministry teams, and lead a creative volunteer team—all while ensuring that our brand, communication efforts, and community engagement reflect the mission of Impact Church.. Key Responsibilities Social Media Strategy & Digital Engagement Develop and implement a multi-platform social media strategy aligned with church-wide goals. Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms like TikTok and X (Twitter). Curate and share relevant media (graphics, video clips, stories, Scripture, events). Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement; foster authentic online relationships. Track analytics using tools such as Meta Business Suite, and adjust strategies based on performance. Implement paid social campaigns and boosted content for events and outreach efforts. Content Creation & Creative Direction Develop visually compelling, brand-aligned content for digital and print—including graphics, short-form video, reels, written copy, and photography. Edit videos for services, social media, and promotions using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Canva, or similar. Collaborate with the Creative Director and ministry teams to maintain consistent brand messaging. Develop copy for various communication platforms, including social, email, website, print, and text. Ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and visual identity across all channels. Marketing Campaigns & Storytelling Plan and execute church-wide marketing campaigns for events, sermon series, and outreach programs. Lead the creation of promotional materials (flyers, slides, signage, email templates). Capture and share stories of impact and transformation, including member testimonials and ministry highlights. Serve as the creative voice in campaign planning and storytelling, ensuring alignment with the church’s heart and mission. Volunteer Team Leadership Recruit, train, and lead volunteers serving in creative roles (social media, video, photography, design). Develop training resources and share content ideas based on social media trends and church needs. Facilitate team meetings, feedback loops, and skill-building opportunities for volunteers. Website & Email Communication Collaborate on website content, updates, and campaign integration in partnership with the Creative Director and IT team. Write and manage email communications through platforms like Mailchimp or Planning Center. Support digital pathways such as event signups, interest forms, and next steps messaging. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the Creative, Events, and Tech teams to support ongoing ministry needs and campaigns. Interface with key departments to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all church initiatives. Collaborate with the Executive and Leadership Team on communication strategies tied to church growth and engagement. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or social media (church or nonprofit setting preferred). Proven track record of increasing social media engagement and follower growth across platforms. Proficiency in social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later), design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and content planning platforms (Trello, Asana, etc.). Experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok. Familiarity with analytics platforms (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics) and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong writing and editing skills for digital platforms (social, email, web). Experience recruiting, training, and leading volunteers or creatives. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced ministry environment.
