Job Summary:

Nederman’s E&FT Division is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Manager to lead our Inside Sales Team, based at our North American Headquarters in Charlotte, NC. This leadership role is essential to achieving the division’s commercial and financial goals, with a short-term focus on increasing monthly output while driving sustainable profitability. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for day-to-day team performance, organizational structure, process optimization, and talent development—all in alignment with Nederman’s corporate strategies and policies. This position requires a technically capable, results-driven leader with expertise in solution selling. You will lead by example in the use and enhancement of our global digital tools to deliver compelling proposals. As part of the Technical Solutions Team, you will report directly to the Vice President of Technical Solutions and Business Development. Exceptional performance in this role can lead to broader career opportunities within the global Nederman Group, which operates in over 30 countries across five continents.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Lead the Inside Sales Process for Large Opportunities (45%)

Opportunity Evaluation:

 Review incoming opportunities for accuracy and completeness, providing actionable feedback to internal stakeholders.

Process Ownership:

 Manage and drive the full lifecycle of major opportunities—collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Leadership to meet timelines and deliver approved solutions.

Proposal Development:

 Leverage advanced digital tools to build solution concepts, define specifications, generate BOMs, and prepare cost/profit analyses.

Communication:

 Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

Client Engagement:

 Present technical proposals to clients, address questions, and foster lasting relationships. Team Leadership and Performance Management (40%)

Task Delegation & Oversight:

 Assign responsibilities based on team capacity and project scope. Monitor performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

Mentorship & Support:

 Provide daily coaching, technical guidance, and leadership to promote professional growth.

Sales Strategy Execution:

 Apply solution selling principles to support the team in successfully closing deals.

Process Optimization:

 Improve workflows and procedures to increase efficiency and align with Nederman’s strategic objectives.

Strategic Planning:

 Contribute to annual budgets and operational plans, ensuring staffing and resources meet business goals. Drive Innovation in Digital Tools and Sales Approach (15%)

Tool Development:

 Lead and support initiatives to improve digital sales tools and standard solution concepts in partnership with global teams.

Change Management:

 Act as a champion for new tools and methodologies, ensuring successful rollout and adoption within the team. Qualifications Your Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited). MBA preferred.
7+ years of technical sales experience with capital equipment.
5+ years working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Finance) to create high-impact proposals.

Your Skills & Traits:

Knowledge of industrial ventilation and air material separator systems (dust, fume, mist).
Proficient with digital sales tools (e.g., configurators, system modeling, pricing/quoting platforms)
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (OSHA, IMC, SMACNA, NFPA).
CAD proficiency (2D/3D), with experience in Revit and Navisworks preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
