Job Summary:
This is a high-impact sales opportunity within a 100% employee-owned company, focused on commercial flooring solutions. The role involves managing and growing a customer base across southern and western Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and eastern Connecticut. It requires daily travel within the territory, strong customer relationship skills, and the ability to drive business growth in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and grow assigned accounts by providing industry-leading customer service.
Proactively identify and develop new customer relationships in the assigned territory.
Schedule and conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
Promote and sell a wide range of flooring products to new and existing customers.
Collaborate with local branch personnel to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Submit monthly sales reports and annual sales forecasts to management.
Stay current on product offerings, competitor activity, and industry trends.
Utilize CRM software to manage leads, customer data, and territory activity.
Consistently demonstrate innovation, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial flooring sales and/or specification experience.
Minimum of 3 years of route sales experience.
Sales experience in wholesale distribution preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily within assigned territory.
Strong sales acumen with proven ability to develop new accounts.
High level of customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and CRM platforms.
Self-motivated, independent worker with a results-driven approach.
