Primary Summary:
This position is the Member Ambassador forthe financial institution with the overall purpose of providing qualityand efficiency to members who prefer face-to-face interaction. Thisposition will have a thorough understanding of the member’s transactionrequirements and be able to effectively communicate all availableoptions to them. They will educate members about our sales and servicedelivery options and refer the appropriate products and servicesmatching the member’s needs. This position will also refer members tothe appropriate source or channel to address their need. They will alsobe responsible for the processing the regular transactions, such asreceiving and paying out money, and keeping records of money andnegotiable instruments involved in financial transactions in anefficient, friendly and accurate manner. Provides personalized bankingservices to financial institution members by performing the followingduties:
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
? Conduct allmember account functions, including teller transactions, processingrequest for new accounts and services, providing counseling and crossselling appropriate products or services to benefit the member andachieve established sales goals, interview members and processapplications for all types of credit cards and consumer loans. Reviewall documentation for completeness and accuracy according to theorganizations compliance guidelines. Ensures that the teller cashboxbalances on a daily basis. Researches and resolves cashbox errors asnecessary. ? Assist with wide variety of member services including;regular account maintenance, Safe Deposit Box maintenance, assistmembers with account inquiries and reconciliation, manages outgoingwires, ACH transactions and disputes, solve fraud issues, serve asnotary public, close accounts, etc. ? Troubleshoot and resolve memberand internal inquiries in a timely, professional and accurate manner.
Informs and advises member of status or enhancements to current accountproductivity and suggest resolution on account disputes and otheraccount activity. ? Answer and route telephone calls, take messages,provide information and directs calls to appropriate staff as necessary.? Contribute to overall success of branch in working towards branchdeposit and member goals. Adhere to all service standards set by thecredit union. ? Must comply with applicable laws and regulations,including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, andthe Office of Foreign Assets Control. Experience Six months to two yearsof similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatorypositions. Education/Certifications/Licenses A high school degree or GEDis required. Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust anddiplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in theposition. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations withmembers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitiveand/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-dayexperience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing,educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
