Job Summary:

The Parts Buyer will be responsible for managing inventory, overseeing shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring the timely procurement of parts. Experience with heavy-duty parts is preferred, and familiarity with emergency vehicle parts is a plus. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary parts. Process purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery. Oversee shipping and receiving functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Operate a forklift to move, organize, and store parts safely. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms. Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and transactions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Assist in identifying and sourcing heavy-duty and emergency vehicle parts as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in a parts purchasing, inventory management, or logistics role. Knowledge of heavy-duty parts; experience with emergency vehicle parts is a plus. Proficiency in inventory management systems and order processing. Forklift operation experience (certification preferred). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
