Machine Shop Manager – 1 Year Exp Position Available In Lake, Florida

Machine Shop Manager – 1 Year Exp Milling Technologies, Inc 2630 Us Highway 27/441, Fruitland Park, FL 34731 We are looking for a leader who desires to build and grow with our team. In this role you will manage our in house machine shop for internal and external accounts. The opportunity for growth is limitless. You will need to have good management skills for personnel and good customer service skills along with the ability to to schedule tasks and assure their completion. Strong problem solving skills a plus.

What you will be doing:

1. Develop policies and procedures for in house manufacturing of parts in small run capacities. 2. Develop an outside customer base and built it. 3. Develop your team to be efficient, ensure quality standards are always met, and production timelines are met. 4. Manage maintenance of shop equipment in your department. 5. Set up training to advance yourself and your team. 6. Occasionally conduct hands on work and training. 7. Tracking usage of consumables and inventory of raw materials and finished products. 8. Identify lack of holdings in your department and propose solutions to correct them.

What we are looking for:

1. High School Diploma or GED (minimum). 2. One year fabrication, machine shop operations, managerial experience, welding background. 3. Problem solving skills. 4. Ability to asses, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action in multiple situations. 5. Understanding of equipment and machinery operation a plus. 6. Understanding of hydraulic cylinders a plus. 7. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principals. 8. Strong desire to be successful. 9. Good understanding of organizational skills to include on a computer. 10. Have a basic understanding of business (budgeting, processes, pricing, tracking of jobs, etc.). 11. Have a strong sense of safety and how to ensure policies are followed and implement new policies where needed.

Essential Functions:

1. Ability to stand, walk, talk and lift 50 lbs. 2. Ability to be in the Florida humidity and heat for extended periods of time. 3. Ability to actually show up on time on a daily basis. 4. Ability to work well with others. 5. Ability to collaborate with other section leaders. 6. Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure team maintains accurate records.
