Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Body Shop Manager is responsible for the efficientmanagement of all aspects of the Paint Department while maintaining ahigh level of quality. This includes developing the daily schedule foreach phase of paint.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Review Productionschedule and develop daily schedules to meet & exceed required dates
- Train and develop Paint staff to ensure cross-functionality skillsets
- Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees toappropriate training schools as needed
- Limit and reduce rework whilemaintaining a high quality
- Daily, weekly, and monthly review ofhours
- Monitor maintenance of Paint booths and equipment
- Complete alldocumentation, including inspection sheets
- Identify and implementprocess improvements to reduce cost, waste, and production time.
- Workin an efficient and timely manner
- Record all hours worked accurately
- Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and accurately
- Identifyabnormalities and repairs required as a result of internal actions andadvise the Production Manager accordingly
- Undertake relevant trainingand development as required
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Adhere to andcarry out existing work practices, procedures, and policies
- Maintainconfidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelineswhere appropriate
- Understand and comply with safety and environmentalpolicies
- Other duties as assigned
INTERACTION WITH
- Stock room aswell as numerous levels of internal staff within a variety ofdepartments
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of Five (5) years experience in theBody Shop & Automotive Coating Industry
EDUCATION
- High school diplomaor GED equivalent
