Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day operations of the maintenance shop, including scheduling, work assignments, and performance management of diesel mechanics. Oversee inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance of heavy-duty diesel trucks, compactors, loaders, bulldozers, and other landfill equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and equipment history using fleet maintenance software. Collaborate with operations teams to prioritize equipment repairs and reduce downtime. Manage parts inventory, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors and service providers. Train and mentor technicians to develop technical skills and ensure high-quality repairs. Monitor shop productivity, enforce safety protocols, and promote a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
