Within the Global Medical Products and Distribution (“GMPD”) segment, Sustainable Technologies™ reprocesses a wide array of products, including compression sleeves, electrocardiogram lead wires and cables, air transfer mats (used to transfer and reposition patients), pneumatic tourniquet cuffs, pressure infusion bags, pulse oximetry sensors, and many products used in surgery, including ablation wands and electrodes, arthroscopic abraders and shavers, orthopedic manual devices and more. Job Summary The Business Development Representative – Sustainable Technologies is responsible for providing technical and professional expertise during the sales process, which may directly influence the crafting of the sales proposal, the operational requirements or risk, the customer’s willingness to buy Cardinal Health’s solution, the timing, or the customer’s satisfaction, and contract negotiations. This highly visible and hunter sales position, reporting directly to the National Sales Director, Sustainable Technologies, is expected to meet or exceed sales goals by advancing high quality medical sustainability solutions utilizing a value-based concept sell to the Acute Care marketplace within the territory.
Territory:
We currently have 4 open Business Development Representatives. This opening will cover a multi-state region in the greater Southeast area of the US. Ideal candidates will be located near a major airport. Responsibilities Responsible for driving sales and achieving sales goals across the reprocessing portfolio within assigned geography Develop and execute effective sales strategies to maintain existing base of business and drive new revenue opportunities Lead territory opportunity development and activities that translate to accurate forecast projections Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and present business reviews to drive value for the customer and Cardinal Health Master all products and sales applications by demonstrating ongoing competency Build and strengthen customer relationships and maintain positive working relationships with external business partners Maintain knowledge of the current industry / competitive landscape including, GPOs, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors and competitive products etc. Foster productive relationships with Field Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and other key internal stakeholder groups Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed Responsible for meeting and maintaining the requirements of all key vendor credentialing entities Complete all administrative requirements in a timely and comprehensive manner (expenses, compliance, CRM, as directed) Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of documented outside commercial sales success preferred Medical Device industry experience preferred Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Documented history of sales quota attainment/exceeding sales goals preferred Documented history of building strong relationships, influencing key decision makers and exceeding customer expectation Ability to understand complex contracting and develop sound financial business case preferred Demonstrated ability to deliver business results by working independently and cross functionally Competitive mindset with experience in creative prospecting A valid driver’s license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record Ability to travel domestically and within region often involving overnight stays and stays up to one week in duration Customer/Vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations). Anticipated pay range:
