As a Volvo Sales Consultant , you are responsible for generating sales of new and pre-owned class 8 heavy-duty semi-trucks, by building strong relationships with customers, identifying their business needs, and providing tailored solutions. You’ll work with both independent owner-operators and fleet buyers. General Requirements for
Volvo Sales Consultant:
Make a minimum of (15) documented field (i.e., face to face) contacts per week. Dedicate the time necessary to stay informed and up-to-date on all facets of the products and service we have to offer. Actively pursue personal and professional developments, which has a direct impact on your ability to perform your duties at the highest level. This includes, but is not limited to, OEM sales training (including on-line courses), public speaking, local community college computer courses, and other relevant learning opportunities. File electronic Sales Assistance for all Volvo quotes to ensure the accuracy of the dealership participation rate. Ensure most up to date Sales Assistance is accepted on all new deals. Develop familiarity with warranty and service policy, financing options, and dealership technology (e.g., TSP, SCQ, etc.). Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with industry personnel, vendors and customers. Possess or obtain a valid CDL driver’s license and medical card within 6 months of hire date. Provide Management with Targeting Plans, progress updates, and customer insights as required. Ensure all data necessary is submitted to maintain an accurate customer relationship management system. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Experience:
High school diploma and/or general education degree (GED) required. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required. Three years of preferred automotive sales experience. Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
