Year of Employment Job Description:
Unique, fun, and exciting product sales opportunity for a dynamic, friendly, and engaging salesperson. The Great Estate Roadshow, established in 2009, is a premier buyer of estate jewelry, precious metals, gold and silver coins, antiques, and collectibles. If you’ve ever seen “Antiques Roadshow”, this is similar to what we do. We set up boutique “buying events” at various hotel locations throughout the region, where folks come to sell us their estate items
- primarily gold, silver, coins, and watches.. Unlike a true “sales” role, here you’re not actually “selling” anything (we’re “buying”) which means people are thrilled to be there and wait in line to meet with you. You’ll be trained to be an expert buyer of a wide variety of estate items. We are in search of someone with jewelry store experience
- ideally with experience in buying gold and silver.
If you have experience buying coins and watches, that’s a big plus as well. Must be able to work one weekend day per week. Most events are within the Charlotte, NC area, however some events may require a few hour drive, and some may require air travel. This is ideal for someone who enjoys some light travel, including potential overnight stays when needed. Travel (to Chicago) for training for 1 week is required. Travel is paid by the Great Estate Roadshow.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain quick relationships with customers. Present yourself in a professional manner. Negotiate deals and pricing on the items that the company purchases. Meet or exceed sales targets and achieve performance goals. Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on client needs. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in a travel or field sales role. Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Fast learner. Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time Ability to adapt to different markets and customer needs. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to work one weekend day per week.
