We’re growing our team with an in-home flooring sales consultant who shares our passion for quality and customer care.

Position Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced In-Home Flooring Sales Consultant to join our team. This role involves visiting customers in their homes, consulting on flooring options, providing personalized recommendations, and guiding them through the decision-making process. You’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience from the first consultation through to the final sale.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-home consultations to assess customer needs, recommend suitable flooring options, and provide product knowledge. Maintain a professional and polished appearance, ensuring that each consultation reflects Right Step Flooring’s commitment to quality and professionalism. Present and explain product benefits, including hardwood, LVP, and carpet flooring, tailored to customer preferences and space requirements. Take accurate measurements, prepare estimates, and generate quotes. Develop strong relationships with clients, offering a consultative approach that builds trust and satisfaction. Maintain and manage a schedule of appointments, follow-ups, and ongoing customer communication via phone, email, and text. Write clear and detailed estimates, and communicate effectively with the project manager to ensure accurate project planning and smooth workflow. Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to overall business growth. Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate order processing and timely project follow-through. Keep up-to-date on product knowledge, market trends, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Proven sales experience, preferably in flooring, home improvement, or interior design. In-depth knowledge of hardwood, LVP, and carpet flooring products. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a consultative approach. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments and documentation. Problem-solving abilities to address unique customer challenges and needs. Basic computer skills, including CRM software and digital measuring tools. Reliable transportation for in-home visits within the service area. Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Physical ability to lift samples and conduct on-site measurements as needed.
