Outside Sales Representative Benson VerHage Electric Wyckoff, NJ 07481 • Remote Home Generator Sales Representative Responsibilities Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, incoming leads and networking. Educate customers on the benefits of home power solutions. Conduct home site assessments and provide tailored proposals. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project implementation. Meet and exceed sales targets through effective relationship building. Running appointments with customers based on incoming leads. Visiting customer locations, analyzing customer needs, and putting a detailed proposal together. Negotiate and close the sale. Process order and provide office staff with all required documentation. Spend a certain amount of time managing displays at the big box stores and taking leads if needed. Following up on older leads as tracked within the company system. Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales. Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule. Outside Sales Reps are required to report into HQ throughout the week as needed. After the 90 days probationary period, will consider providing vehicle + fuel card. Qualifications Motivated and enthusiastic for success in a fast-moving industry. Willingness to learn about generators, the industry and providing solutions to homeowners and businesses. The ability to use basic Microsoft programs as well as company specific software such as Salesforce. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. 3+ years of previous experience in sales (optional – will train). Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits. Highly motivated and target driven. People Person. Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills Must have Valid DL, Good Driving Record, and Reliable Transportation. A commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards
