Remote Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and supporting field sales efforts within an environmental services company. This role involves qualifying inbound inquiries, making outbound calls, preparing quotes, and providing excellent customer service to promote company services related to environmental testing, remediation, compliance, and consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively contact prospective and existing customers by phone and email to generate sales leads and follow up on inquiries. Understand and promote the company’s services, including environmental inspections, remediation, consulting, and training. Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, and contracts in coordination with technical and field teams. Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities in the CRM system. Collaborate with field sales and operations staff to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes. Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics. Assist with marketing campaigns, trade shows, and other lead-generation activities as needed.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in inside sales, or business development; industry experience preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn technical environmental service offerings and explain them clearly to customers. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or environmental sciences preferred.
