We are a leading provider of solar energy and zero energy homes. Our clean energy solutions are utilized by families, businesses and communities. Role Description – Sales Consultant We are seeking a talented and motivated Sales Consultant to join our sales team. The Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving revenue growth by generating new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with commercial clients interested in solar energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy, strong sales skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Responsibilities Prospect, identify, and qualify new commercial clients interested in solar energy solutions Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their energy needs and recommend customized solar solutions tailored to their business requirements Develop and present compelling sales proposals, including project estimates, financing options, and return on investment analysis Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless transition from sales to project implementation Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring alignment with company pricing and profitability objectives Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and market positioning Other related duties as assigned or needed Required Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of solar sales experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry preferred Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic technology, system design, and financial incentives Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude and ability to work independently Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed. A desire to exceed industry standards and constantly improve Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required Compensation and Benefits Newport Renewables is offering a competitive salary and commission structure for this position based on the applicant’s experience, and is offering a monthly health insurance contribution (medical, dental and vision), paid vacation, sick days, holidays and a company sponsored 401(k) plan. Location Newport Renewables is currently located in Wakefield, Rhode Island. This will be a full time position based out of Company headquarters.
