Food Service SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide food and beverage service to our Members and guests during their golf game. Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operations, it may be necessary that each Associate perform a multitude of functions; therefore, as an essential part of the position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Associates are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed. EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required and a minimum of three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Become certified in CPR/AED and C.A.R.E. You must have a valid driver’s license.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times, to Members, Guests, Visitors, Business Partners, and fellow Associates. Adhere to all Property and Department policies and procedures. Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions. Sells food and beverage items to the golfers in a friendly and courteous manner. Knows and practices service according to our standards of operation. Knows and practices proper food handling and cleanliness according to health laws. Become proficient in using MICROS Point of Sale. Maintains cash bank, records sales, and does daily deposits. Maintains accurate par stock and submits daily requisitions. Perform proper opening and closing procedures. Properly places delivered stock. Knowledgeable of course activities, master accounts, or charging responsibilities and VIP’s. Assists in period-end inventories. Uses Member and guest names when known. Observes proper dress code and appearance policies. Uses suggestive selling techniques to increase sales. Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled In this position, you will be expected to be available to work in various locations of Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels. In addition, you will be expected to work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed. Perform other job duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Have the ability to write simple correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet.
