Technical Product Specialist – Packaging Valco Melton Atlanta, GA Valco Melton, a world leader in adhesive application, fluid handling, and quality assurance systems, is seeking an entry-level Technical Product Specialist to join the Sales (Hot Melt) team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager of the Hot Melt group, the Technical Product Specialist will provide high-level technical and sales support throughout the organization. This is a dual technical / sales role that entails supporting other members of the Sales team as well as developing business of your own when opportunities arise. Support for other team members will involve general technical support, installation guidance, and assistance pre- and post-installation, with site visits to customer facilities as needed. Area of responsibility will include all of the US and some parts of Canada. Must have travel flexibility from 50-75% of the month.

this position will be based in either Cincinnati, OH or Atlanta, GA. Candidates who are not currently or imminently based in these locations will not be considered.
Specific Responsibilities:
Become an expert in Valco Melton’s Hot Melt technologies through training and hands-on installations. Provide technical and electrical support for installations and new business development. Develop and grow existing accounts while working with new customers – often in conjunction with Territory Sales Managers. Nationwide travel in support of Outside Sales and Hot Melt team. Maintain and support Salesforce CRM database in collaboration with other members of the Sales team. Work closely with Engineering, Customer Service and Technical Service to enhance and improve future installations Assist National Sales/Product Manager with product development / testing as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
A 4-year Bachelor’s degree OR a 2-year / 3-year technical degree OR equivalent technical experience. Be an effective communicator in order to sell to, support, and train others. Must be capable of self-management and have travel flexibility from 50-75% of the month. High aptitude for technical equipment, specifically electromechanical. Ability to effectively interact at all levels of a corporation from the CEO/President to the Maintenance Shop. Capable of dealing effectively with high pressure and demanding environments.
