Job Overview :

Cytologist will be present in the operating room to provide onsite adequacy of FNAs, EBUS, and EUS procedures when needed. Cytologist will complete cytological screening of Non-GYN and GYN cases.

Qualifications :

Required :

Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology or equivalent Graduate from an approved

School of Medical Technology Preferred :

Six years’ working experience

Certifications and Licenses Required :

CT certification from

ASCP Scheduling Requirements :

Per Diem Essential Functions :

Assists in the training of new employees and students Works on special projects as requested by the Director Segregates laboratory wastes according to established policies Verifies orders from scripts and orders procedures in HIS and LIS Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs instruments and lab equipment, if possible Assists in clerical duties as needed Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!
