Responsibilities A postdoctoralposition is available in the department of Biochemistry andMolecular Biology at Mayo Clinic, under the mentorship of Dr.
Georges Mer. The research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms ofmulti-subunit protein assemblies that modulate chromatin structurein DNA damage repair and epigenetic inheritance using integrativeapproaches (e.g., Hu et al., Nature 2021; 596(7872):438-443 & Hu etal., Mol Cell 2024; 4(5):839-853). We are seeking a recent Ph.D.graduate with expertise in cryoEM or cryoET sample preparation anddata processing. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-artfacilities at Mayo Clinic, including advanced resources forcryoEM/cryoET, NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography.

- Ability to perform and prioritizemultiple tasks while maintaining meticulous experimental recordsand documentation A Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS)will require knowledge of either clinical-based research orlaboratory-based research often obtained from a postdoctoralprogram.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary positionintended to provide training and education in research. Individualswill train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principalinvestigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potentialfor research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewedpublications and should become competitive for national researchgrants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-TermScholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and StudentInterns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. Qualifications Must have a Ph.D.in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow isappropriate for individuals who have completed no more than oneprior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
Compensation Detail $61,027.00 – $74,089.60 / year; Education,experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equitywhen job offers are extended.
