Job Description:

Function of Position:

To support chemistry staff in day-to-day operation, while gaining hands on training to support their academic goals. Students will gain hands-on experience working in a lab setting. They will learn basic laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and glassware in the chemistry lab, and employ critical thinking skills to interpret and solve chemical problems. This is a Federal Work Study position. Eligible applicants MUST have received prior approval from the Financial Aid Office. Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintenance of general condition of the laboratory, prep room, and stock room areas. Setting up and switching out weekly experiments. Calibration and maintenance of equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must be Federal Work Study eligible (you can confirm your eligibility with a Financial Aid representative) Current or past enrollment of a chemistry course.

Preferred Qualifications:

Availability on Fridays Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

Pay Rate:
