The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Florida isseeking research fellows to expand its ongoing research initiativesin artificial intelligence, ultra-high field MRI, and quantitativeand functional imaging. Applicants should have a strong backgroundin medical imaging research, and those from non-clinicalbackgrounds that integrate with Radiology (e.g., those holding aDoctoral degree in physics, engineering, computer science, appliedmathematics, statistics, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants with a clinical background and demonstrated researchproductivity will also be considered. In the first year, thesuccessful candidate is expected to: 1. Write at least two firstauthored manuscripts 2. Write at least one co-authored manuscript3. Contribute to at least one extramural grant application 4.Contribute to ongoing intellectual property development 5. Developa skill set that will allow the fellow to be competitive for nextsteps in their career growth The position is available for one yearwith the potential for extension. The salary will be based on theapplicant experience and the Mayo Clinic guidelines. A ResearchFellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to providetraining and education in research. Individuals will train in theresearch program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualifiedindividuals will demonstrate the potential for research asevidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications. Proofof English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars,Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Internssponsored by Mayo Clinic.
