Your Role:
Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced As a Senior Geologist in Charlotte, North Carolina, you’ll be at the heart of our projects, handling everything from client communication and project planning to budgeting and report preparation. You will lead and mentor a team of professional geologists, providing guidance, advice, and in-house training to support their professional development and growth. You’ll also lead efforts to bring in new business, expanding our impact. Your work will make a real difference by promoting sustainable resource management and environmental protection. You’ll tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions, inspiring your team and driving our projects to success.
What You’ll Do:
Supervision and Oversight:
Supervise the field and office work of junior staff associated with hydrogeological investigations, environmental evaluations, and sampling.
Design and Technical Recommendations:
Prepare detailed design recommendations for complex or unusual conditions.
Leadership and Staff Development:
Lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks. Provide counsel, advice, and in-house training to individual staff. Identify training needs.
Project Review and Management:
Serve as an initial reviewer on selected projects as well as independently scope and budget projects and prepare proposal documents.
What We’re Looking For:
A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a closely related technical field
A minimum of 8 years of Geology experience
A Professional Geologist (PG) license
Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language What to
Expect:
With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions
Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary
