Responsibilities The Actuarial Specialist, Investment Strategies works in a collaborative and team-oriented environment providing research and various quantitative and analytical functions for the Investment Strategies team. Projects frequently involve actuarial analysis, asset-liability risk assessment, portfolio management, computer programming, and Monte Carlo simulation for some of the largest institutional investors in the world. The Actuarial Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining reliability and quality of analysis. They are expected to be able to explain and communicate such complex analysis as well as prepare reports and presentations to demonstrate their work. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or Financial Engineering) is preferred
Actuarial credentials strongly preferred. Actuarial experience, particularly with defined benefit pension plans, required
Familiarity with
PPA, ASC 715, GASB
67/68, and defined benefit plan funding is required
Experience with defined benefit valuations or investment consulting preferred
