POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Information Officer Provides the overall leadership, strategy, design, and execution of an organization’s information security function. Responsible for determining the organization’s information security policies, strategies, and standards. Provides leadership and oversight to the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security standards and procedures. Reviews risk evaluations, audits, and security incident investigations and presents information to senior leadership as needed. Stays current on the latest information security standards and best practices. Ensures compliance with data protection guidelines and applicable laws.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Drive the overarching IT and business application strategy by setting long-term goals and objectives that align with the organization’s mission. Provide executive leadership to ensure that all IT security functions are integrated seamlessly with enterprise-wide business priorities.
Champion the development of next-generation IT concepts and innovation projects. Lead the evolution and continuous refinement of the IT Master Plan by defining best practices, processes, and policies that mirror the organization’s strategic goals, particularly those of GOAA.
Architect and execute comprehensive implementation plans to manage complex change requests and the introduction of new services. Evaluate and mitigate risks to the IT infrastructure with a focus on maintaining data integrity and ensuring robust, scalable implementations.
Command the IT Operations Center by overseeing contractual frameworks and staffing deployments. Ensure an optimized balance between in-house expertise and third-party service providers while upholding the highest standards of operational excellence.
Lead the IT Governance Council and architect a holistic, on-going IT project management strategy that supports enterprise-level initiatives. Guarantee that all IT projects are executed with a forward-thinking perspective, aligned with long-term organizational objectives.
Serve as the chief architect for the current program management tools, setting the standard for robust configuration management. Design, implement, and oversee processes that maintain system integrity and support the organization’s strategic IT initiatives.
Direct the annual IT security budget planning and execution, managing allocations for staffing, hardware, and software solutions. Negotiate strategically with vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with technical specifications while securing the most advantageous terms and solutions for the organization.
Conduct rigorous analysis of performance metrics and trend data to provide actionable strategic recommendations directly to the Chief Executive Officer and board. Leverage insights to continuously refine the organization’s security posture and operational resilience.
Cultivate a vibrant, high-performance IT security organization by overseeing recruitment, comprehensive training programs, and succession planning. Ensure that robust processes are in place—ranging from emergency response to business continuity, that empower the team and fortify the organization’s long-term security capabilities.
Assume additional executive responsibilities as required, ensuring that the IT security strategy remains agile, forward-thinking, and fully aligned with evolving enterprise needs and industry dynamics.
