Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will partner with creative and technical professionals to capture critical knowledge, optimize knowledge management frameworks, leverage emerging digital tools, and ensure that critical information is accessible, discoverable, and actionable. This highly visible role is ideal for a systems-minded professional with a passion for connecting people, data, and ideas—and for championing innovation in how knowledge is captured, shared, and applied.
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge Strategy, Leadership & Governance Design and implement forward-looking knowledge management strategies aligned with business goals, leveraging the latest digital and AI-enabled tools to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Develop and maintain dynamic information architectures and taxonomies, ensuring knowledge assets are structured for both human and machine accessibility. Establish and enforce governance policies for knowledge assets, with a focus on data quality, integrity, privacy, and lifecycle management. Evaluate, recommend, and help implement advanced knowledge management platforms (including AI-powered search, analytics, and collaboration tools); oversee integration with existing systems (e.g., Synthesis, Deltek, BambooHR). Serve as a thought leader, staying abreast of trends in knowledge management, digital transformation, and semantic technologies. Knowledge Capture, Curation & Dissemination Partner with project teams, departments, and subject matter experts to capture, curate, and contextualize best practices, lessons learned, and project knowledge, utilizing digital and AI-assisted tools for efficiency and accuracy. Identify knowledge gaps through data analytics and user feedback; proactively source or develop content to address evolving business and project needs. Champion cross-functional knowledge sharing, connecting staff with relevant information, expertise, and insights through digital communities, knowledge graphs, and collaborative platforms. Training, Change Management & Communication Lead training and onboarding initiatives for knowledge management systems and processes; develop engaging user guides, reference materials, and interactive workshops. Promote adoption of knowledge management practices through internal communications, presentations, and targeted campaigns, using data-driven storytelling to demonstrate impact. Act as a strategic advisor and internal consultant, supporting teams in leveraging knowledge assets and digital tools for project delivery, innovation, and competitive advantage. Process Improvement, Analytics & Impact Measurement Continuously assess and improve knowledge workflows, search optimization, and content usability based on user feedback, analytics, and emerging best practices. Monitor and analyze usage metrics, knowledge flows, and engagement trends to inform enhancements and demonstrate business value. Collaborate with IT, Communications, and Data teams to ensure seamless integration, interoperability, and user experience across platforms.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Science, Library Science, Knowledge Management, Digital Transformation, or a related field. 5-10 years of progressive experience in knowledge management, information architecture, or a related function, preferably within the AEC, design, or real estate industries. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies, taxonomies, and governance frameworks. Digital fluency, with experience leveraging modern knowledge platforms, AI-powered search, analytics, and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Synthesis, Deltek, BambooHR). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to translate complexity into accessible, actionable information. Proven ability to lead process improvement and change management initiatives across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. Proactive, collaborative, and innovative mindset, with a passion for connecting people and ideas and driving organizational learning. Experience with data privacy, compliance, or information security is a plus. Familiarity with knowledge graphs, semantic technologies, or AI-assisted knowledge management tools is highly desirable.
