Software Support Engineer Job Position Available In Middlesex, Massachusetts

Job Description:

We are seeking a programmer to help support ourgrowing number of schools. Our software is a broad, integrated database system which requires hands-on,personal support, which is provided in part by Support Engineers. Support Engineers are teamedup with Account Managers to own and manage the projects and maintenance for a sliceof our clients. Support Engineers are experts on the inner workings of their schools,helping to ensure they run smoothly and successfully. We firmly believe in on-the-jobtraining, so we are more interested in your ability to learn and become an expert than in you alreadybeing an expert. What You Will Be Doing

• Writing and maintaining code (SQL, Ruby, HTML, CSS, Javascript)in support of your school and their projects
• Implementing new schools in our software
• Solving hard and interesting problems Job Requirements
• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or 2+ years of programmingexperience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must beable to communicate technical details to people with a varying range of technicalability
• A service- and team-oriented mindset
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Enthusiasm about programming and related technology Bonus Points
• Experience with Ruby, Python or similar
• Experience with web programming
• Web and/or UI design skills Technologies We Use
