Job Summary
The Desktop Technician provides technical support to end users by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and network components. This role plays a critical part in upgrading systems (including Windows 11 deployments), maintaining system functionality, and assisting with IT projects and user support needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

M365/O365

migrations, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities
Support end users by installing and configuring hardware, software, and networking components.
Perform Windows 11 upgrades and deploy replacement computers across the organization.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with desktop systems, applications, and hardware to maintain proper functionality.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware or software issues when necessary.
Conduct diagnostics and produce error reports to identify and correct system issues.
Assist in IT-related studies, special projects, and the rollout of new IT policies and software platforms.
Provide users with hardware/software recommendations and ordering support.
Configure and deploy new computers, and support remote access software for end-users.
Track user requests and incidents using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
Verify issue resolution with the customer and properly close support cases. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or a related IT support role.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 migrations (required).
Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and time management abilities. Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Experience with the ServiceNow ticketing system.
Familiarity with Palo Alto VPN client software as it relates to desktop support.
Exposure to enterprise deployment tools and practices. Certifications (if any)
None required; CompTIA A+,

Microsoft Certified:

Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar certifications are a plus.
