Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level Application & Cloud Security Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about cybersecurity and eager to build hands-on experience in application and cloud security. As part of our security team, you will support efforts to secure Netlink Voice’s cloud environments and customer-facing applications. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learning tools, techniques, and frameworks that are essential in today’s security landscape. Key Responsibilities Assist in monitoring and responding to security alerts , incidents, and vulnerabilities across cloud platforms (primarily AWS). Support vulnerability scanning and basic analysis of code and infrastructure for security risks. Participate in reviewing and documenting cloud infrastructure configurations to ensure compliance with best practices. Help implement security tools and automation in the CI/CD pipeline. Learn to perform basic code reviews with guidance, using static/dynamic analysis tools. Assist in remediation tracking and coordination with development and DevOps teams. Document and maintain security policies, procedures, and checklists . Stay current with security trends , threats, and best practices through research and training. Participate in training programs , internal workshops, and security awareness activities.
Qualifications Required:
Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology , or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (especially AWS) and interest in learning more about cloud security. Familiarity with common security concepts (e.g., firewalls, IAM, encryption, OWASP Top 10). Understanding of application development basics (e.g., web architecture, APIs, scripting). Strong analytical thinking , attention to detail, and a desire to learn. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred (nice to have): Internships, labs, or project experience in cybersecurity or IT. Exposure to security tools like Nessus, Burp Suite, or AWS GuardDuty. Basic scripting experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Working toward certifications like Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or SSCP .
