Database Developer/Database Engineer Platinum Construction Group, LLC Morristown, TN 37813 • Hybrid work Job Overviiew We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to design, build, and maintain a custom database system that automates data imports, cleanses unstructured datasets, and enables advanced querying/reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience scraping public records (e.g., foreclosure notices, mineral leases), transforming raw data into actionable insights, and creating user-friendly interfaces for non-technical teams. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and developing efficient data management processes to support our applications and business operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance database solutions. Responsibilities Database Design & Development Design and optimize database architectures and data models to meet business and reporting requirements. Develop and maintain custom database systems to support applications and analytics. Data Integration & Processing Build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from APIs, web scraping, CSV/PDFs, and other sources. Cleanse and standardize unstructured datasets (e.g., public records, legal documents) for accuracy and usability. Performance & Optimization Write efficient SQL queries and optimize performance through indexing, query tuning, and schema design. Monitor database systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. Collaboration & Tools Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications. Develop user-friendly dashboards/reports (Power BI, Tableau) for non-technical teams. Security & Documentation Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards. Maintain detailed documentation for database designs, ETL workflows, and data lineage. Skills Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (DBMS). Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques. Experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java for application development support. Knowledge of Linux operating systems for database deployment and management.
