Job Description

Community Education and Data Coordinator Integrated Community Planning of Oswego County, Inc. Oswego, NY 13126 Job Overview The Community Education and Data Coordinator is responsible for the development and coordination of community education and outreach materials, and marketing of services. This Coordinator will participate in networking events and committees as well as collaborate with local, regional, and statewide entities to represent agency interests and learn current issues/trends with the goal of continuous improvement. This Coordinator will recruit and market the Staffed Family Child Care Network for in-home child care providers. Responsibilities Develop and implement evaluation plans/tools for procedures and services. Conduct surveys, focus groups, and interviews, analyze data and create reports based on the evaluation results. Collect and compile statistical data including child care data, supply/demand, and market analysis. Coordinate an annual needs assessment, identify and use demographic and other data. Analyze data collected and create reports meeting contract and service planning needs for milestones quality of care, child care rates, economic impact, and provider professional development. Develop and implement local print and web-based media/public relations efforts for ICP and Child Care & Development Council branding, promotion/marketing of CCR&R services, and to raise public awareness about child care. Develop and maintain social media (ICP Linkedin, CCDC Facebook, and ICP Facebook, etc.) and a comprehensive website with materials and content for all ICP and Child Care & Development Council, including CCR&R, Registration, CACFP, and Legally Exempt consumer groups. Coordinate provider and parent training registration/payment, activities and events. Create and market the training calendar. Assist with the Empire State Child Care Match database maintenance and conduct data updates and clean ups. Create and produce provider newsletter including updates and information regarding CACFP, training, regulations, health and safety, and additional topics for distribution. Partner with and engage community organizations, stakeholders and businesses in mobilization activities to promote the importance of quality early care and learning. Complete follow up surveys for referral services. Develop marketing and outreach strategies to ensure in-home child care provider participation with Staffed Family Child Care Network. Complete NYS Mandated Reporter Training; report suspicions of child abuse or maltreatment in a manner that meets OCFS and Agency policy. Assist with all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong customer service, public relation, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Demonstrated computer, database, and data report skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Working knowledge of child care, early childhood, and traffic safety. Valid NYS driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle required.
