401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance CMES, Inc. is seeking an IT Manager to manage all technological systems, infrastructure, and support across the company. This includes maintaining construction-specific software platforms, ensuring cybersecurity, managing hardware and mobile devices, and supporting both office and field staff with responsive IT solutions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, strategic, and understands the unique IT needs of a construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain all company IT infrastructure in collaboration with third party providers. Manage and support construction-specific software platforms (e.g., Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, Bluebeam, Procore etc.). Ensure data security, backup integrity, disaster recovery protocols, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices. Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of new technology solutions to improve efficiency and collaboration across departments. Provide technical support for users in both office and remote field environments, including mobile device management and connectivity. Manage and maintain vendor relationships, software licensing, and IT procurement. Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards. Coordinate with operations, accounting, estimating, and HR to understand and support department-specific technology needs. Monitor and trouble shoot network performance, system reliability, and user access issues. Train staff on new technology systems, software updates, and IT protocols. Maintain documentation of systems, inventory, procedures, and training materials. Exhibits CMES Inc. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Prior experience supporting IT systems in the construction, engineering, or field services industries preferred. Familiarity with construction ERP systems and field technology platforms (Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, Procore, etc.). Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and cybersecurity practices. Excellent troubleshooting, organizational and verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
