Director of Information Technology Location:
Prefer individual to be based in Staunton, VA , Pittsburgh, PA or Cranston, RI but will consider candidates within commutable distance to any of our operating locations. Cadence is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead and evolve our IT strategy across a growing, multi-site organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing systems, improving cybersecurity readiness, and partnering closely with business leaders to support scalable growth—including acquisition integration. What You’ll Do Lead and empower a collaborative IT team —driving prioritization, resource allocation, and skill development across functions. Operationalize cybersecurity tools and practices , ensuring readiness and responsiveness to evolving threats. Lead infrastructure and system modernization — oversee team initiatives like server upgrades, domain standardization, and backup process unification. Standardize enterprise systems across all sites —one data warehouse, one domain, one phone system, one set of tools. Enhance business partnership by allocating IT resources to support key business functions including customer-specific initiatives and compliance-related activities. Strengthen helpdesk and inventory management practices to deliver consistent and efficient end-user support. Prepare for and lead IT integration in future acquisitions , ensuring seamless transitions for infrastructure, cybersecurity, and productivity tools. What You Bring A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership of multi-site teams and enterprise-scale systems. A strong track record in project execution, cybersecurity, and infrastructure strategy. Knowledge of Microsoft server technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, SQL), ERP systems, and enterprise networking. Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party IT resources. PMP or other relevant certifications a plus. Willingness/Ability to travel to all Cadence sites Interested?
