Business Systems Analyst Controller Location:
New Orleans, LA Summary The Business Systems Analyst mainly performs various functions involving financial systems under the purview of the Controller’s Office. These functions include data analysis, report preparation and metric monitoring. Also assists in planning and executing training sessions, developing training materials, as well as policy and procedure development and monitoring. Also supports the Controller and direct reports with administrative tasks and as the Controller’s Office representative for various University committees and initiatives. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral presentation and teaching skills
Familiarity with Tulane’s transactions and reporting requirements
Familiarity with Tulane’s organization and security requirements
Demonstrated capability to extract data from accounting systems for analysis purposes
Demonstrated capability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines
Customer service orientation
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business of systems related field
One to two years of experience with University business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
One to two years of experience in a complex business setting such as a hospital or business office will substitute for University experience.
Two years of hand-on training experience.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as “exempt, salaried” and is assigned to pay grade 26.
