We’re recruiting on behalf of our banking client for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join their team supporting critical technology initiatives related to money movement and enterprise systems integration. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Microsoft-centric environment supporting high-impact projects across a collaborative and fast-paced financial organization. •While remote candidates will be considered, priority will be given to those local to the Triangle area and willing to work onsite 3 days per week.• About the

Role:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, software vendors, and technical teams. The role requires deep expertise in requirements gathering, technical documentation, SQL analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support the full software development lifecycle. The analyst will play a pivotal role in helping define, build, test, and deliver solutions that enhance operational performance across the money movement domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze detailed business and technical requirements for new or enhanced systems Translate business needs into clear, structured documentation to guide development by internal teams and third-party vendors Work closely with developers and QA to create test scripts, perform regression testing, and track defects through resolution Assist with data analysis and validation using SQL, including writing queries and reviewing SSIS packages Present updates and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership Ensure proposed solutions align with project goals, system architecture, and compliance standards

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of total experience as a Business Systems Analyst, including at least 4 years supporting banking/financial services projects Proven experience working in money movement, ACH, wires, or related transaction systems Strong working knowledge of SQL Server, including the ability to run and read queries Experience with SSIS packages, data mappings, and validation Background in Microsoft environments, including .NET and Windows-based applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable presenting to executives, developers, and functional teams alike Strong documentation and requirement elicitation skills Experience working directly with software vendors and translating requirements into build-ready specifications Knowledge of testing best practices, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing workflows Familiarity with Agile and hybrid SDLC models Unable to partner with 3rd party vendors (Corp-to-Corp/C2C) for this opportunity.
