Overview:
We are seeking a Jr UI/UX Designer to help shape the way customers interact with our e-commerce platform. Reporting directly to the Director of E-commerce and Customer Experience, this role offers the opportunity to blend your design expertise with user-centric principles to create intuitive, visually appealing, and engaging interfaces that drive customer satisfaction and conversions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Marketing, Development, and Data Science — to deliver impactful designs that align with business objectives, ensuring a cohesive and innovative experience across our digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver intuitive, user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and user needs, translating them into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Partner with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and implemented effectively while maintaining quality and usability standards. Conduct UX research, including user testing and data analysis, to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure brand consistency. Optimize user flows and interactions to enhance conversion rates and improve overall usability. Develop assets such as web banners, icons, and promotional materials to support marketing initiatives. Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in UI/UX design, accessibility, and eCommerce technologies.
Qualifications:
Actively studying UX design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience). UX/UI certifications a plus.
Experience:
Experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile platforms, preferably within an eCommerce or digital product environment. Experience in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with UX research methodologies, A/B testing, and data-driven design. Understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end design principles of how designs translate into code. Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices for inclusive design. Familiarity with eCommerce platforms a plus, like Shopify, Magento, or Commerce Cloud.
