Minimum:
Associates Degree or a combination of Education and work experience ( minimum 5 years in pupil transportation ) Ability to interpret NC State School Bus law Ability to give and follow detailed written and oral instructions Must have thorough knowledge of Synovia GPS tracking System Customer Service experience preferred Must be able to maintain Employee and student confidentiality Must have basic knowledge of Google Suite programs Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite programs Basic knowledge of TIMS software preferred Valid North Carolina Drivers license- Class B P&S (CDL) Must be able to work a flexible schedule Must posses 30 Day inspection Certification ( or have ability to obtain) Must be willing to drive a school bus If needed

Drivers Essential Job Functions :
Supervisory and Observation:
Serves as immediate supervisor for Driver Only Employees Serves as the point of contact for Drivers, Sub Drivers and Monitors Coordinates Sub Coverage for all drivers and monitors Model for and train drivers with use of proper customer service techniques Supervise bus drivers and perform all supervisor duties for assigned schools Inspect Yellow and activity buses for cleanliness and damage Office Duties and Reports Collect and review the annual mechanical stop sign violation count from bus drivers Follow up on mechanical stop signal violations reported by bus drivers as needed. Collect and review TD2 and TD2R data Serve as payroll backup with auditing driver timesheets using GPS information Serve as TIMS backup for updating TD29 route descriptions Serve as backup for the office administrator with maintaining and updating classified employee compliance status Review attendance and substitute data Perform clerical office duties consisting of filing, typing, and record keeping. Perform driver audits using Synovia GPS tracking system Track absences using Sublog google document Planning and Scheduling Assist with planning and organizing annual school bus rodeo Assist with planning and organizing annual school bus driver workshop Assist with planning and organizing monthly bus driver safety meetings Assist with scheduling new employees for CDL training class. Training and Educational Programs Provide guidance to and administer to drivers and monitors training on proper use of student restraint systems. Provide guidance to and assist school Administration in planning, scheduling and conducting mandatory biannual emergency evacuation drills for school buses. Provide guidance to and assist in planning and conducting monthly safety meetings for drivers and monitors. Provide guidance as needed on driver safety retraining courses Provide training for day to day duties of bus drivers and monitors Extra Duties Assist at school bus accidents Perform other duties as assigned by the

The major physical and cognitive requirements listed below are applicable to the Transportation Supervisor job classification within the Transportation Department of Hoke County Schools. Work in this classification is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
