HOMEDAILY
” Majority of the time. Deckhand position is for a boat thatoperators mainly Day Boat where you are home daily, besides a fewtrips from time to time throughout the year. Position is $22 to $24pending experience. We are seeking qualified candidates that arefocused on project success and exceeding customer expectations.
Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listedbelow safely and follow all of the company’s safety procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Work the maritime field and areresponsible for performing tasks such as: Barge rigging Handlingand maintaining tugboat equipment Shifting barges Dropping orpicking up barges Checking tow Assisting in making locks and/orbridges Cleaning and greasing tugboat Painting and repairing areason tug Cleaning and organizing deck barges Routine housekeeping
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing andpulling up to 75 pounds of material. Frequently walking, stooping,kneeling, reaching, and climbing. Frequent use of hand tools suchas power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
PREFERREDEXPERIENCE
Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 3-5years of deckhand experience at meets or exceeds performanceexpectations.
