The ideal candidate will hold a valid New Jersey CDL with appropriate endorsements for operating a 24-passenger school bus .

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a 24-passenger school bus along assigned routes and schedules Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain student safety and discipline while on the bus Ensure children are picked up and dropped off at designated locations in a timely manner Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately Keep the bus clean and fueled as needed Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and school transportation policies

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age Possess a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with: Passenger (P) endorsement School Bus (S) endorsement Air brake restriction removed (if applicable) Must meet the 24-passenger school bus driving requirements per NJ MVC regulations Clean driving record and criminal background check Ability to pass a physical and drug/alcohol screening Experience working with children is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Punctual and dependable
