The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Duties Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies in shipments. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for moving heavy items as necessary. Assist in warehouse operations when not on deliveries, including inventory management and organization. Skills Strong moving and heavy lifting capabilities, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on communication and problem-solving. Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes. Ability to operate a pallet jack safely and efficiently. Experience as a courier or in a similar delivery role is a plus. Knowledge of local roads and delivery routes is advantageous.
