- Long Island (Suffolk County) compensation: Starting at $22.
00 employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Delivery Driver Looking to immediately hire a delivery driver. Starting pay is $22 an hour. Raise available after twelve months based on performance. Company is based in Suffolk County. Driver will perform local deliveries to industrial facilities in Suffolk, Nassau, and eastern Queens. Driver will also make a limited number of residential deliveries. Our drivers must unload and check product in with customers.
Requirements:
- Need experience driving a straight truck and making deliveries. No first time or inexperienced drivers will be considered. Company vehicles are primarily 26 foot straight trucks with air brakes.
- Clean licenses only. CDL is a plus.
- DOT Medical Certification required. Company can help obtain if necessary.
- Must speak and read fluent English. Spanish language fluency is a bonus.
- Must be detail oriented and customer friendly
- Must know roads in Nassau and Suffolk without the use of a GPS
- Must be able to physically complete a full day of deliveries
